As a principle I don't fire crackers, stopped many years back. But, that is my personal choice. I personally believe that Deepavali is a festival of lights but not sound and pollution.
Don't preach us
Having said that, I don't like some hypocrite preaching me how to celebrate the festival. These bigots never talk or utter a single word about some practices of other faiths, no matter how objectionable they are.
Take crackers for instance. They were fired on every occasion like a chota mota netha winning one or other election, pakistan winning cricket match, your favourite hero's film release, even a marriage, birthday and what not. No one had any objections then but the same crackers on Deepavali will break the hell open.
Isn't burning stubble more polluting? Isn't regular Delhi air round the year more polluted?
How Diwali used to be
In my childhood they used to start crackers 10 days before the actual festival and continue for 10 or more days after the festival and till "Nagula Chaviti". Now a days it reduced to couple of hours on the festival day. This is not because some liberal fanatic gets on TV/social media and starts preaching. But, in general, people realized how else they can celebrate. Let's keep it that way.👍
Jashn-e-Riwaaz
Did I spell that correct? What these dumb a$$es think they are doing? A certain Akthar is supporting this by explaining it's meaning. They convoluted our history, traditions already. Now started with festivals too.
This is as bad as local governments allowing Ramzan celebrations but not Ganesh pandals.
Finally
Dear liberals, wokes, and secularists, please keep your thoughts up your @$$. Do not rub them on us. We know what to do and how to do. We can take care of ourselves. We don't need a popular cricketer or some equally dumb actress preaching us on how we celebrate our festivals. Neither we need some foreign merchant rename our rituals and festivals.
Never mind if it hurts someone's sentiments, but that's the idea!
Happy Deepavali 💥🔥🌟🌞⚡
